Ross Design Kingpinless casters offer quality features that are unrivaled. All Kingpinless swivel modules are made from high quality certified CD 4140 material for maximum wear resistance. In addition to beginning the manufacturing process with a higher grade of steel than the competition, Ross Design is the only manufacturer using a double heat treatment, creating superior strength and durability. We begin with a through hardening process to prepare an inner core that is 200%* stronger than the competition’s. Following this process, we utilize a case hardening treatment to add 21%* greater hardening characteristics to the bearing raceway. The additional heat treatment processes guarantees the superior performance and long life of Ross Design Kingpinless casters.
Flawless Swivel Action
Our Kingpinless casters take full advantage of these added processes by utilizing our own wrap around bearing technology. The bearing seat is never notched, ensuring no interruption within the bearing raceway for fast and flawless swivel action. The design enables the caster to be fully sealed with an internal o-ring, preventing debris and water from entering and keeping grease in. The o-ring facilitates the casters crucial ability to keep grease inside the bearing module, reducing potential risks associated with grease leakage.
Ross Design is proud to be the only manufacturer that offers an internal o-ring in a Kingpinless caster. Assembly is completed with pre-heated welds, promoting the best fusion possible. Many of our competitors choose to skip these additional processes in order to minimize their costs, sacrificing the added durability and safety that Ross Design methods ensure.
